Well even the girls bombed out tonight by a field goal and we dominated until the last 6 minutes. Women's series still alive. Oh well, that's bloody footie for you.

I only watched about 10 minutes of Game 1 and 20 of last night, but there were people on the game thread saying Qld were getting away with head-high shots, standing offside and forward passes during the game. Which I can believe. First women's series to go to 3 games, and what better way to promote it than having Game 3 a Decider (TM)?

Harder to sell tickets to Townsville if it's a dead rubber...

Did you guys see that our boy Alex Lobb makes his official debut against you guys thus rd. He did play a little cameo coming in as 18th man a few rds ago but this rd He's starting on the wing.
He still lives in the shire I think and still surfs there. He says he still has a lot of mates from St George.
I rate the guy. He's tall and strong under the high ball.

Referees make absolute careless or reckless calls but get no punishment.
Ashley Klein, asks the bunker to check for a possible penalty try in the last 3 minutes of the decider, that was a complete reckless call, if you cannot see the run of play properly, you need to be suspended and sent to refeering school for five weeks to study that run of play over and over.
We lost the 1999 GF over many careless calls that gave the Storm the victory.
Referees need also to be accountable for dumb decisions.

I dont think qld need 2 hookers, I wouldnt have picked hunt, but they went with the combination that won last years series... but yeah next year will be a fresh start after a loss.. I reckon Hunt would be wise to retire from rep footy before that... DCE thats his call I wouldnt be picking Walker over him.. not in this arena.. they would run at him all night.

Qld's really need Tino+Carrigan though, we dominated them, they did 100 extra tackles.. I think it made all of their attack struggle. We also need another prop or 2, I dunno what we would do if Haas was injured, and it seems like Jake is done.

Imo, if anyone went to the bin it should've been Luai, Cherry Evans and Nanai. Even tho DCE started the whole thing the long necked merkin.

Him and Billy's crying about the refs was laughable also. Rub of the green? I'll tell you what rub of the green sounds like:

- Walsh staying on for a kick to the head
- Capewell staying on for something RTS got binned for
- Walsh putting a foot out and it not getting called
- Half a dozen escorts on Lomax
- Carrigan and Cotter taking naps in the ruck and slowing down the play the ball
- Constant late shots on Moses
- Cotter doing about 50 grapple tackles - i.e. the exact thing Crichton got penalised for in game 2
- f**kface Klein asking for a review for a possible penalty try when the Blues get a break upfield.

100% if the brawl was on the field.. I get that there would be serious penalties.. but the brawl was in the reserve bench area.. ofcourse they are involved.. Burton got a bluddy fine.. hes a pacifist who was just holding players apart..

Obviously they just want to send a message to the public.. but I thought the way no journos are articulating that this happened off the field is crazy.
