Penalty try?! WTF, that is the most idiotic refereeing decision I have ever seen in my life.

Why, it was the most obvious and only decision to make.
Truth is, it should of been an additional shot at goal ( like 99 grand final ) .... and Hunt should of been binned.

The extra shot shot at goal in 99 was due to foul play not for a professional foul.
Deliberate foul play in the act of a try being scored can end up with a penalty from in front after the conversion attempt but it is at the refs discretion (Harrgan loved making the news)
Interesting if not a penalty try tonight Hunt gets binned but as it was a try not binned that does seem strange.

You get sin binned for denying a try scoring opportunity. However, in this case the try was actually awarded (albeit through penalty).

It was the correct decision. Cordner would have got the the ball first. The bounce would have sat up for him. It was definitely a penalty try.

Ill be heading out there along with 80 000 plus other fans, when ANZ is a packed house the atmosphere is pretty special.
Hoping all the Dragons boys play out of their skins and the Blues wrap up the series!

I thought it was a penalty try immediately. There was no one back there and the ball sat up perfectly, the QLDer who was behind Cordner and starting from a stop got there easy. Pretty obvious and clear cut in my view.

For me the difference in line speed between the two teams is crazy, QLD seems to be getting there when our guys are catching whereas we are always on the backfoot

I was saying that DeBelin was made for origin a few years ago. I am very happy that he finally got the opportunity to prove me and himself right. DeBelin is one of my favourite players. When he first entered first grade, I said that I thought he was our best forward prospect that had come through our system since Tallis. He very well could be than now too.

The players get 40K a game, they want to play, plus they want as many origin games on their CV as possible. It is also worth too much money in TV rights for them not to play the 3rd game. I want us to beat them 3 nil.
