That team was the least strategic NSW that has ever been assembled.
A complete pile of outdated out of form experienced players and undeserving rookies.

A rookie prop and 2nd hooker thrown in to win a decider and having absolutely no cover for any injury on the bench was classic Fitler.

His bench rotation was absolutely bizarre and his inability to react to cook getting murdered was painful to watch.
He should never coach again.

The Panthers players will be scape goated but undeservingly
Cook actually had a few little good moments amongst all the bad. The felt for him being placed in that position. Freddy is a clown

Side for game 3 (f**k wasting our players with Freddie):

Tedesco farewell (should be Gutherson)
Saab
Graham
Mitchell
Garrick
C Walker
Reynolds/Moses
Murray
Frizell
Young
Haas
Robson
Tatola

D Walker
RCG
Martin (too good in game 1 not to pick)
Paulo

Cook
Almost perfection, but drop Martin. The Panthers need no part of this car crash.

The story of the night will be the use of Damien Cook.

He (Cook) deserves absolutely no blame. Did he even play centre in reserve grade back in the day? We are talking 8-10 years ago and I'm pretty sure he was a winger back then as well.

Echos of Trent Waterhouse in the centres for Australia. Anderson's brain explosion matched Freddies.

That's still more defensible than Cook.

Backrow is one slot over from centre. Most of them find themselves out that way at some point. I remember Frank Pritchard doing the job in the past.

I'd like to know when Cook played centre (If ever) back in reserve grade a billion years ago.

Going forward I think Cleary and Moses should be the halves. I'd give Gutho first crack at fullback, no way Tedesco should be there again, he is finished at the top level.

Yeo has clearly been figured out by Slater, but I still think he would be good off the bench when the game opens up a bit, Yeo can still sneak his way through the line just never seems to have support.

Martin and To'o have earnt their spots for the considerable future.

Yeo and Murray should both be playing 70mins in the middle. The issue is Yeo can't be first receiver 90% of the time anymore

Yeo is doing forward things though.

Tonight 48 tackles 0 misses.
2nd run metres to Haas

It was similar in game 1.

Maybe don't use him so much in attack but need him to keep the ruck solid

I've said for 2 years at this level yeo can't be first receiver.

Nathan/moses/luai has to get in and do 80% of the directing.

Having a 7 with the ball in their hands all the time brings in more options than the three that yeo does..

He either...

Runs...
Out the back to a half
Short to a prop.

Get nath or luai at first receiver and it brings in short kicks, a faster running game.. better cut out balls... early kicks if wingers are up..

Again... I hope Ivan was watching very closely.

No kiks and no api this year....

We don't have the a class players to get us out of a pickle this year. We need variety.

If Nathan wants to be the best player in the game... the goat... he needs to push yeo aside and make any team he plays in his team.

Was painfully obvious what was going to happen tonight after the first 5 mins. Saw Freddie hadn't made a single change to the attacking structure and I knew we were done

Seriously, you’d give Gutherson first crack at replacing Tedesco. Now I am known for not necessarily placing too much emphasis on statistics but what planet are you on if you think Gutho should be in front of Dylan Edwards.

I don’t necessarily think Gutherson is a better player then Edwards. But Gutho will play with more heart then just about any player for NSW which is something we desperately need especially when the game isn’t going our way. I think he also adds a little more in attack then Edwards, which again is a huge issue right now for us.
