I know this isn't Dragons related but I am just curious to know what some of your opinions are on this guy. Should he be sacked??? Is he the problem??? If not, who is?? He went well for NZ but Parra have been an absolute disaster. Personally, I think they get beaten badly in the forwards every week and thus their backs cannot have an impact.

IMO the whole club needs to be cleaned out.

They need to bring in someone and give them 5 years to do it, because anything short of that would be a stop gap measure.

If Kearneys the man, then you back him or you sack him.

One thing I'm certain of is that the joint is rotten and the players are a disgraceful bunch of prima donna sooks.

I'd personally back Kearney.

I kind of feel sorry for Parra.
They are a club in crisis.
I think Kearney's job is in danger.
I believe in Kearney's plan for the Eels.
I like cheese
I think he'll bring in the structures to make the Eels competitive.
Parramatta Stadium is a disgrace.

I like Stephen Kearney and think it's a bit rich to sack him based on 4 performances when he inherited a team loaded with average players signed for too much money, their star player is injured, and with a new halfback. That said his coaching record does have a few question marks.

His first coaching posting was as the Assistant Coach under Bellamy. That was a team loaded with stars and his input would have been secondary. Then he coached the Kiwis and that is a team that always lifts when they pull the black jersey on. And again, it is a team full of stars.

But Parra is not full of stars. It is a very difficult proposition for any coach let alone a relative novice. The thing that has stood out to me in the Parra games is not so much that they lost but the manner in which they lost. As a coach you need to have your team switched on and competing. And that just isn't happening.

Kearney seems like a very good bloke and I feel sorry for him but they sacked a very competent coach in Daniel Anderson. More recently they have paid well overs in signing some mediocre players too.

Under Daniel Anderson (only a few years back), Parra nearly won the premiership, whats happened then I dont know.. to me they arent that far off the pace, and they arent out of it for 2012, but they are certainly in an attitude/confidence slump right now.

They paid a crazy amount (I thought) for Hayne a few years back, think it was 500k or 600k a season, then this year Sandow for another 600k (I think), thats 2 very big players to keep under the cap, but I dont think its a reason for the club to be in dire straights... both are key to the clubs future, I dont particularly rate either of them, but Hayne when hes back is critical to the clubs success.

In my opinion the worst thing Parramatta ever did was sack Brian Smith. They were a genuine powerhouse club in the 10 years under his tenure. They may not have won a premiership, but they were never the rabble that they are now and have been for the last 18+ months.

Sack the board first - then let the new board review the whole club including the coach. The club seems rotten to the core at the moment

Im a bit tuffer on coaches than most...Sack Kearney today and give the gigg to Hindmarsh capt/coach if he wants it...could do no worse and may just teach the team something also...which apparently Kearney aint.
in saying that..dont feel sorry for em at all lol

Same old story - a couple of wins and all would be forgiven.
Unfortunately it's difficult to see where that next win is coming from.
If it doesn't come soon, then they're left with a decision - and it is usually easier to punt one man (the coach) than clean out the playing roster.

I agree with backing Kearney.

If they sack him, what next? They'll bring in another coach for 2 years, Parra will still be shit, & they'll sack him & it will be de de de ja ja ja vu vu vu. If the players don't like it, stiff shit, & Parra can weed out the players who really wanna play for Parra.

Curious how the only ones who stay throughout all their years of shitness is the board.

450k.

Thats a nice long, stress free holiday away from that rotting cess pit on the Cumberland Hwy.

I'd be preying they sacked me.

It's a board issue. Suffice to say, I was critical of our board until Bennett came. WB seems to have taught our board a few things and they're now behaving and also performing.

Kearney needs time and power. In his first year or two, Bellamy was having issues with the Storm too, but sorted it out and look how they went (Cap issue excluded, of course).
