Stereotypes Mafia Game Thread.

He's not mafia, but he outed himself as an investigator early (so did Mis). Would make sense for 9701 to try and recruit both at some point. Mis being mafia means a no recruit, but Soc.....

I don't doubt the Mis part, because four town investigators (at least initially) would seem a bit overkill. I question whether or not removing an investigator from the game is the best option when cult seems to be cruising by unchecked, even if he is mafia.

I see where you're coming from but I'm finding it a bit hard to believe that Soc would throw himself under the bus, why would he either

a) Choose to be part of a cult just so he can remove himself from the game

or

b) Forcibly recruited and then help the cult that he may have not wanted to be in by removing himself from the game.

Neither of these possibilities make sense to me so the chances are that Misanthrope is bad.

-----
Now your other argument seems to be that we keep a mafia investigator alive to eliminate the cult, I see the merit in that particularly if he only uncovers faction but if he is telling the truth about uncovering roles then he could be feeding mafia info about our vigilantes, our role-blockers et cetera.
-----

This is getting a bit longwinded but there is another possibility. Misanthrope is mafia but is NOT the investigator, is keeping the mafia investigator underwraps because he is the mafia leader and has protection.

Very possible.

Did he say he uncovers only roles?

So KTF, you got a better target? 9701 didn't die last night, hasn't recruited anyone else. We obviously can't lynch him today. That leaves 2 unknown cult members & 4 alive scum, we know who 2 are so let's kill one.

@SGL

The good news is that people would be dumb to target you now, the bad news is you may have a slight chance of dying tomorrow night.

Only investigators I've ever seen who get roles AND alignment are mafia.

Reason I say that is because I know 100% that he isn't a townie who finds out roles because there's never two of those in the same town.

Also, something that has crossed my mind but is probably wrong. There seems to be an unusually high amount of vanilla players. Could 9701's recruit be based around picking vanilla players ie if people have night actions they can't be recruited because they're "not home"?

How do we know that there are that many vanilla players? Dutchy's always saying that a lot of people haven't got their actions in.

Although in saying that if Cliffy and Rebel are town and if they're not vanilla that surely would've rang alarm bells to them immediately and Mis would've been outed.

Mis is currently travelling which means he probably hasn't sent his actions in

Yet, he states that he has investigated quite a few people. If he is mafia, maybe someone is feeding the info to him. Assume he is protected?

So in that case, Vote: DB. Happy to change if you guys want to.

Rebel, the smart money is on Mis. DB seems to be their killer who is as impotent as an 82 year old eunuch.
