And it was mentioned that the LC gives the FC $6M a year.

Pricey seem to have a bit of passion but do we really want the LC to hand over the NRL to a FC board who has no ideas what to do and heres $6M a year to go with it?

You might not know the operational aspect but at least have a few ideas where you want to go.

Ray Price has 'no plans' for the new board at the moment (why the hell did members vote for him and his 3P bros), and claims to know nothing about the NRL club side of things YET he wants to bring the NRL team under the umbrella of the football club.

FMD the guy is thick as a brick I am sorry.

Um, that's because the FC board does not cover the NRL side, so he has limited access to any kind of information about it. Once 3P takes control of the LC board then they can actually do something.

That's why they should be separated. The Leagues club should not control the football club, that's why we've had a bunch of idiots not being able to do their job properly for years... and that's why bad decisions are made for our club, because no-one is qualified in that regard. Sure, they're good at business, but good business management is not good enough to make a club a club a success on the field.

Sterlo came across extremely well tonight. There may not have been any specific news, but the opinions he and Ray Price put forward were definately worth tuning into. I think most Parramatta fans would have been sitting back and nodding their heads with every comment they made. I really cannot find much to dfisagree with what either of them said, and that's a rarity because normally I'm quick to throw in a criticism.

It was good to hear from them. But why promise they had news when they didn't divulge anything remotely hitherto unknown? Pisses me off, because I waded through the megatons of sh*t they dished out to just hear Sterlo and Pricey, and it was, with all due respect, hardly worth staying up for.

Well you're right. I guess long ago I gave up on media outlets offering 'big news' when they claim to because more often than not the 'big news' is just a sentence to add on to a previously mentioned story. So I wasn't expecting anything in the first place. We can blame Channel 9 for that as it's just a ratings grab for them, but I think Sterlo and Ray Price handled themselves very well and had some interesting things to say.

well, tbh probably nearly all of what they said was "news" to ppl who haven't hung off all the goings on with the election like we have on here .... we know too much :sarcasm:

Yeah, good point. A lot of people wouldn't even have known 3P won on the weekend yet.

I agree.

I guess I just got a bit over-excited - with all the rumours surrounding players we may sign flying around I thought maybe they were going to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak.

Oh, well...

and going by the numbers who voted probably don't even care. Most fans don't even have LC membership.

They turn up to see their team do well and don't care about the back room stuff.

Well people are hearing about it everywhere! I spent half an hour on the phone tonight trying to explain it to my cousin,( who is on what board, why do you not have the football club running the Nrl team, why were they trying to take over) I nearly confused myself trying to explain it .:?

Most LC members are there for the facilities, over 50% are members for less than 3 years so they couldnt vote if they wanted to, maybe season tickets should include LC and FC memberships just like sponsors receive automatic memberships instead of caps or sunvisors

I have always wondered why we didn't do this but I would assume most season ticket holders would be perpetual members by now

I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years now, and have only become a member this year as I cannot always take my 4 children to the club before or after a game.

yeah I am finding out what you mean as my bub is only 17mths old so have had to change my ways.

I will be interested to find out about how they intend to make it a family club. most pubs out my way try to make family days to attract a crowd.
