I was listening to 2sm talkin sport yesterday arvo and Gower was on there and he wasn't very happy about Noddy being picked in the preliminary squad.
He questioned how they could pick a bloke who's had a couple of good games when it matters over a test player. He never said Noddy's name but.......who else would he talkin about.

The NSW Under 19's will play the upcoming fixture verse Queensland Under 19's on 26th May 2004 prior to State of Origin 1 in Sydney.

The squad will be trimmed to a 17 man Team named on Monday 17th May 2004

A couple of interesting ommissions there i noticed. The Dragons Ashton Sims and Justin Poore missed out. They have been going ok for them. Ryan Hoffman from the storm also missed out. Plus our own Russ Aitken. No surprise about 6 or so Roosters have made it  .

Aitken probably missed out because he's being wasted in Premier League. The sooner he gets his shot in First Grade, the better.

Couldnt care less for Stevo and Noddy to be playing Origin. I like the blokes but from my perspective I'd prefer to see them injury and risk free and not chasing glory for Phil Gould.

If he wants to denigrate a player publicly like he did with BK he should do it without him.
Mind you SS,How good would it be too see Noddy have a blinder and make Gould eat his words....
