250 GAMES!!!

On Sunday 9th of May 2004 another page will be turned in the Manly Sea Eagles history book with Steve 'Beaver' Menzies stepping out onto the so familiar ground at Brookvale Oval for his 250th first grade game which puts him in the same steed as Manly legends Alan Thompson, Cliff Lyons, Des Hasler and Geoff Toovey.

Steve Menzies has been a great ambassador for the club, to the game of Rugby League, and also as a role model for young children in the way he has conducted himself both on and off the paddock for over 10 years now!

We want all fans, every Sea Eagle out there to show your support by creating your own BEAVER BANNERS. We want to see them all over Brookvale Oval. Inside, Outside, EVERYWHERE! Your banner may include a picture of a beaver or a clever one liner. The most creative banner receives a Steve Menzies limited edition autographed T-shirt commerating his 250th game, a must have piece of sporting memorabilia. On top of this, the lucky contestant will receive a personally signed cap and poster from Beaver and a 2004 autographed jersey from the entire NRL squad.

Show your appreciation for this wonderful Manly Footballer and get along to the football on Sunday May 9th with your Beaver banner. The competition will be drawn during the 2nd Half of the main game.

If making banners is not your thing, be sure to wear a maroon T-shirt to help support your team on this special day. Call the club for special maroon ‘leave it to Beaver’ T-shirts. (02) 9938 3677.

Jason Stevens had a memorable 200th on Saturday night, I hope that another milestone is destroyed by the Dragons in the Mothers Day Massacre this Sunday

Cheers,
Ben S.

Good Luck to Menzies! One of the real champions of the game.

Ben I'd feel the same if I was a saints supporter - but as a neutral I gotta say that while Stevens got what he deserved Beaver is worthy of better
