Commentator to Steve Folkes when the Filthy Ones arent in the semis ...\

Who do you think will win the comp, Steve ? Or maybe you could even name the Grand Finalists.

Steve : "I couldnt give a damn"

Yeah !! Damn Straight !! Lets give the control of NSW to a JOKE of a so-called "professional". This guy doesnt give a rats arse about the game, and quite frankly NEVER did. This is why he is entrenched in the Bulldog's coaching position. They care about THEM, and thats it. If you dont get that by now, then why the Hell did they join Superleague ?

nope cant see the reason why he is a extremely professional and successful coach.

the premiership that you puppies undeservidly won in 04 should have been the roosters premiership and what have the puppies done ever since making the 4 in recent years? they easily get beaten whilst other teams just put up a fight.

so therefore steve folkes is a sh*t coach

Thats because he coaches Bulldogs.

Care to explain why Roosters deserved the premiership in 04? We usually last well into the finals series...2003/2004/2006 are good examples. Well much further than the Broncos have lasted in the few finals series' previous to 2006 at least.

A news limited peon if ever ive seen one. Is your middle name Piers ? Making false stories about the Roosters doesnt actually make them true. Im still waiting for Craig Wing to leave  Im also still waiting for us to be busted for Salary Crap offences. Pfftt you lackies have NOTHING !!

you tards claim he is the best coach in the nrl. he hasnt yet proven himself to be as one of the best.

and the roosters were by far the best team on the night and had the possession all to themselves but dodgy ref decisions cost them the premiership

Give him the chance to prove himself and he might. Thats what this thread is about moron. Anyway, i don't think he is the best coach in the NRL, i think Bellamy is. I rate Folkes and Bennet as =2nd.

Roosters were not the best team on the night, there were no dodgy decisions...in fact a few minor 50/50 things went the roosters way...i've watched the 04 GF DVD that many times i basically know the game off by heart. Roosters had possession big deal...if you can't crack the line you don't deserve to win no matter how much ball you have.

your very close with that. i dont agree with folkes being the 2nd best in the nrl. he is somewhere below 10th.

there were dodgy decisions in that game, finch didnt kick the ball out on the full. hazem el tragic scored a double movement try, minichiello's 2nd try should have been allowed and there were alot of other dodgy decisions there as well.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

You have no idea about RL.

- On the line = out...that explains Brett Finch's kick...it was as out on the full as possible.
- The Minichiello try was a clear double movement...Corey Hughes should not have had to make a decision in that case of who he should take. You can't run behind a decoy runner.
- Hazems Try wasn't a double movement, he was on top of the defenders at the time, and his momentum wasn't stopped. Fair Try

Even Bill Harrigan agrees with that.

I suggest you watch the game again. I have 2 copies of it if you want to borrow one ;-) I bet you couldn't handle watching Mason awarded the CCM, or bear to watch Pricey and Bobcat hold that trophy up again could you?

No mate ...Chris Walker cost us the premiership ... i feared, as any sane man would that they would target that f**king useless lump of banality.

and they did ... any coach worth sh*t would have done the same ... im wondering why the scorelines were so close ... if Steve Folkes was so good, he could have shut us out by targeting that useless piece of drivel all night and got a cricket score result.

A big lead at halftime .... DESTROYED by the human clown.

Take out Chris Walker and put ANYONE in the team, and the Roosters win.
Worst display of rugby league EVER in a grand final, The Roosters REALLY farked up bad that day, and the Filth werent much better either.

But the Minichiello try ... every try this year was awarded a try, but that year it didnt. So sad, too bad. But f**k it hurts.

Hodges and Walker. Hodges was a deadset potplant that game. He cared more about slapping Willie Tonga than he did about playing and winning the grand final. Walker was terrible though it is hard to go past him

How was Mini's try a double movement ? He didnt even have to ground the ball more than once, he coasted over the line just before half time.

Mind you, Hazem's try DEFINITELY was a double movement ... how the f**k longer do you need to hold a player up over the line ?

STILL, we didnt deserve it. Ive never seen a worse performance from that team, and its sad it was their last together :(

ooops...i meant to say obstruction  my bad...

I didn't think Roosters played too badly...Walker and Hodges were just attrocious...Fittlers kick in the opening minutes to set up walker was one of the best i have seen in a long time. We just defended so well in the 2nd half.

As for the current Australian coach , he was the under-study to Steve Folkes.
Even recent club form has shown Ricky's form (based on team performance) to be quite ordinary. Whereas, Steve Folkes (bar one yr) has been guiding the Bulldogs to great success.

The thing I love about Folkes or more so the club is they never look to have him sacked every time he/team goes through a slump. He speaks his mind and looks to getting on with the job.

Brisbane on the other hand....any slump they go thourgh they are always calling for the head of Bennett. Poor guy must be under so much pressure. Alot is expected of Brisbane in 2007 and WB will be the first to come under the strain once more if they don't perform.

Brisbane fans as a whole are one of the most fickle lot in RL.
