Steve Price will soon be joining other past sports stars such as Des White, Matthew Hart, Chris Martin, Robin Brooke and Eric Rush by opening a supermarket (albeit 4 Square)!

They still have 4 Squares? Where is it? My local small supermarket is being "upgraded" from a super value to a fresh choice except now it has even less variety than before.

So he does still live over here does he? Never see him pop up these days

Yep he's still around. Still works for the Warriors.

His daughter plays for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic netball team. She's a very good player.

There are heaps of little 4 Squares in small tourist areas that aren't large enough for a proper supermarket. Like Russel in the Bay of Islands.

Don't think there are many left in Auckland though.

There is a four square over Mt Albert way that's hanging in there.....think they do quite well because traffic wise it is a convenient place.

His Daughter Jamie as has been mentioned plays Netball....made the NZ Jnrs while at high school.

Be good to see her turn out for the Ferns one of these days. She's not wanting to make the Diamonds....Silver Ferns is her dream.

Fitting I spose since her old man played a test for NZ in commemoration of the Australian great Dally Messenger who played on Tour for NZ ( the All Golds ).

Andrew Johns was going to play for NZ, then he had the career ending neck injury that ruled him out that season.

Darren Lockyer stepped in.......then he too had an Injury ( ended his 2007 season ).

So luckily for us Steve Price stepped up aye.

Was funny though....of the players who could have played....it was a bit like seeing a Warriors team with him in the pack.
