which by all accounts is very true.....probably the highest paid player in the team, probably has a nice house out in the countryside paid for him by cas, gets all the press.....he truely is a big fish in a small pond..and castleford are'nt a bad side..they very nearly got to wembley and where top of the table in the 1st half of the season....he's probably loving it...

if anyone wants him they'll have to pay a fee for him.....or wait till after next season and get him for nothing cos thats when his contract is up

I thought his contract is up at the end of 2013.

Apparently the possibility is he could struggle with his visa renewal.

Maybe Castleford don't want to release Chase

Maybe Chase is happy at Castleford
Maybe because no one in the NRL wants him

Maybe because he's already played at 2 NRL clubs before and couldn't even get to 50 first grade games...

 On contract = nobody wants him

 Not playing 50 NRL games but ripping apart in SL and International Origin = somehow backs up your argument

Onto the topic of Hoffman v Locke. If Hoffman gets the nod he will have the custodian role for as long as he wants it. Locke is talented but Hoffman screams big game player and as an Australian I hope they pick Locke. He is very underrated in the Broncos team.

Foran is miles better than Chase, and Chase won't be picked over a form NRL based half ever. He might make the squad but I think the NZ side are becoming strong enough not to rely on UK based players.

Chase needs to make it in the NRL. The dominating the weekly grind of the NRL > Exiles match.

Foran will usurp Benji as the NZ main man before Benji hangs up the boots.

its actually really easy to grasp...

the fact a guy who wasn't good enough to play 50 first grade games in the NRL has been 'ripping apart in SL and International Origin' says more about how poor the standard of football in the Super League is than how good Rangi Chase is.

how old would he have been when he played in the NRL? 21 to 23? then he came over here...its very rare for anyone to be a stand out star in the NRL at that age..

trust me he's matured since coming here cut the lad some slack...and the english players would be far more worried about facing chase and marshall than facing foran & marshall

fair enough foran & marshall might be the combination to beat australia...but you'll have to be us to get to that final....and with only 2 wins in 10 years in england that ain't a given...think about that!

in fact wft i'm doing trying to help you....pick foran!!!!!

I don't think any Kiwi player or supporter will be losing sleep about not beating England in England in the last two games they've played there or whatever it is.

Glad I read this thread. So many lol's.

Haha Rangi Chase better than Foran. Hilarious.

Yo westie, do I assume this "boring Manly play" is from the same side who has scored 60 odd more points this year than your flamboyant Tigers?

think its 5 or 6 games.......either way the last game the kiwis won against us was in the 2005 tri nations....6years ago

what will be funny is if england get to the final, again, but get hammered...again.....or even if its close...we will be panned as "still being miles behind australia AND NZ...completely ignoring the fact that we would have beaten the kiwis...and the kiwis failed again in england....

and as for kiwi supporters not being worried.......they are,the ones with any sense that is

Rouheyedspud, you guys need to win a title, its that simple. The pressure cooker game that has everything riding on it. That's where your side, which always has talented individuals within it, seems to fall down time and time again. In that respect, you guys are behind NZ. i.e where it truly matters, the trophy cabinet.

The drawing and passing/running to the line aspect of Foran's game is one of the primary reasons I'd have him partnering Marshall. What he (Foran) does is simple and effective, but it's also low risk and I think it balances out Marshall's erratic style of play.

WTF?? you read that whole article in you think Phil Gould doesnt think he's ready??

your getting pwned so now your just making up bullshit...

Your opinion of course... which as you've shown... doesn't count for much

This here shows that you have NFI about what your talking about...

I bet you just follow the same old stereotype that the only way the Kiwis will beat Australia is for the 'Big Kiwi Forwards' to roll over the top of the Aussie pack and we need to play some form of high risk football to blow Australia off the park...

if you actually knew what you were talking about you would realise that the reason why the Kiwis have won those 2 finals was because they got Australia into the grind.

if you actually knew what you were talking about you would also know that there game plan is based on bringing Australia into the grind... to make them crack under pressure.

Having a partner in the halves who plays with structure actually suits the kiwis far more than having 2 halves who play with not a lot of structure.

And of course he wouldn't make the Kangraoo's if he was Australian... they have Thurston, Lockyer, Cronk etc...

If Foran was Australian he would have played Origin this season...

NZ only have Benji Marshall... so unfortunately we cant afford not to use a player of Forans talent.

You don't actually think the Kiwis play the same style of football as the Australians... do you? Seriously?

You don't actually think that without the flashes of brilliance... from the halves, you simpleton... we are talking about halves that the Kiwis would have won anything?

Do you actually think the Kiwis plan to go into the game. Kick long. Push to the right, and execute the left side play, every single time?

You'd be a f**king idiot, or you'd be watching Foran's Anzac tests.

Answer me these. Despite the losses, has Foran looked good playing for the Kiwis. Have the Kiwis looked not only good, but like themselves, when he has played for them.

I believe the answer is either no - or i've completely missed the exciting winning Kiwis side when he's been on board.

We scored two actually, to your three. Your extra one was off a blatant forward pass. Wow, attacking dynamite.

I don't why I bothered actually, Shiznit ripped the shit out of you ages ago. Your only support has come from some Pommy gimp who reckons Matt Orford was shit.

Rangi Chase :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Hahaha, you'd already been completely torn apart before the dodgy pass.

Let me tell you, it was certainly enjoyable watching your nuff nuffs flounder and run around like Souths when you realised you were up against a team that had come to tackle. Manly had no idea once they'd lost the grind. Sounds like a certain test team I've watched in the mid-season games. Care to point out who they are?

Shiznit is claiming a player he hasn't watched isn't as good as a guy who has not only lead a team who wins without him to resounding defeats but actually made them look terrible by comparison.

He's then tried to tell me that the Kiwis play a conservative style of play, despite the fact that every one who has watched them against the Aussies has seen flair from their halves that Foran has simply never displayed.

Tell me nuff nuff, what have you thought of Chase's performances for Cas? I assume you've watched him. You wouldn't actually be stupid enough to chaste a player you haven't watched.. would you?
