hannay confirmed late yesterday to be a shark.
reported in todays tele as :-
Cronulla officials last night thanked former international Mark Coyne after snaring QLD centre josh hannay for the next 2 years.
The 26 year old cowboys star chose the sharks over the gold coast and the raiders late yesterday , signing on for an estimated $150,000 per season.
" I understand Mark Coyne had a chat to josh and sad cronulla would be a great place for him to go" Sharks chief executive greg Pierce said.
"It's not often you sign a player and have him ring you and tell you how grateful he is for your interest. Josh is jumping out of his skin, he's like a kid in a candy store"
hannays signing comes as the sharks prepare to lose international centres phil bailey and Nigel Vagana.
The goal kicking three quarter is the last origin III player to finalise plans for 2007.
Raiders general manager don Furner said missing out on Hannay was NOT a major blow.
