I didn't realise how many Poms are so called "Parramatta supporters". Whinge,whinge,whinge,whine,whine,whine. We are four games into the season and we are one win off the competition lead but I can't believe the knockers out there. If you want to be like that, why don't you go and follow the English cricket team. Interesting thing is most of the people bagging us out now will all jump on board again once we string a couple of wins on the trot together.

I'm not having a whinge at all. However, while many perceive us to have a few 'easy' games ahead against Souths, Manly, Cowboys and Sharks I say we're going through a mine field. If we win - we're doing great and if not then uh-ohhh.

Why is it when supporters vent their spleen at the team they are perceived as whingers ?? It doesnt matter if you love Brian Smith or hate him or feel sorry for the team or get up the team... at the end of the day you love the team and thats it.
Do you think that those who get up the team for an ordinary performance dont love the team ??????? Im sure that there are lots of things Id rather be doing but like the Parra - tragic that I am I get on the forum every night to see whats happening. hey it hurts when the team is playing crap .. but every year here we are - back for more. Ive been supporting the team for 40 years - I think Im entitled to my opinion. You dont have to like what I say but please respect my right to say it.

I cant get on this forum and say .. The teams going well, jolly good show chaps but bad luck you tried your best. If I think that the team is playing like a busted ass I have the right to vent. I invest my heart and soul into the team, I pay my hard earned to watch them play and my week rises and falls with the team. Sometimes there's jubilation sometimes despair but Ill always come back for more.

To just praise the team when they know they are playing crap is counter productive. Im sorry but as professionals the team owes the paying supporters the effort to produce a good performance and if they dont - they deserve a bagging from those same supporters. There is NO way every supporter will get on this forum like a mindless dolt and repeat the Brian Smith mantra " we tried but the forces were against us" everytime we play.
Some will praise the team ,some will vent but at the end of the day we are here cause we love the team like no other, it is our lifeblood, just dont ever call us fairweather supporters.

I need to hate someone after the games when we lose, usually Smithy is the main person, mainly because i haven't agreed with alot of his team pickings for the last couple of years, not to mention ANDREW MCFADDEN and PAUL GREEN!!!!!! They were big mistakes.........

Anyway, if being passionate about the team makes me a whinger then i am a whinger!

1) we all need to vent
2) we are all passionate supporters
3) you gots ta take the good times with the bad
4) sometimes we overreact (ie/ its still so early in the season)
5) we all love football more then our families


but its our right to type whatever we want, so do what i do billy boy, avoid posts that look too indepth (( blissfully ignorant))

I agree with Booligal Bill... It is just the beginning of April. The Grand Final is not until October (same week as the Booligal Sheep Races????)
The Eels have won their last eight games at Cumberland (oops) Parra Stadium, Hands up all those who expected them to go through the season undefeated. In every bit of sunshine there has to be a cloudy day.. Stop whinging and show some strong support.

With all the infighting that has been going on over the last 18 or so months, this is the best reply I have ever seen.
So all you people who can't handle a little constructive criticism about our beloved Eels - deal with it.

I personally have no problem with constructive criticism, It's the repeditive lets drop him and him and him and him that i get tired of. Hell is some had their way we would have no team, coach or management within 4 weeks of the season starting and most of Flegg would have been tried and booted out of the club during the next 4 weeks.
Constructive criticism is fine by me, it's the rash hot headed knee jerk reaction statements that drive me mad.

You just ignore those wankers, not give them credibility by replying to them.

There are some people here though who criticise and make valid points.

"One win away from the competiton leaders!" Yes - AFTER FOUR ROUNDS OF FOOTY! That is HARDLY a barometer as to how we are going thus far! :!: :!: :!:

And another thing - if you are happy with our performances, then so be it. Personally, I am not 100% pleased, but the reason is this - contrary to the reports I have read and heard on the news about the game, we were NOT totally outclassed by this Raiders team. The Eels shot themselves in the foot through poor defence, lack of communication and terrible attacking phases. Had we stuck to our gameplan and communicated and co-ordinated our attack better, we might have won or at least made a game of it. 8)

What you call 'whinging' is actually 'criticising'. That is the purpose of these boards - to engage in discussions related to the Eels. And whenever someone voices their opinion, that is what results - a DISCUSSION. :x

People are entitled to their opinions. And quite frankly, if you got off your high horse for just one minutes and stopped believing yourself to be superior to others, you MIGHT see that if everyone remained quiet about their opinions, that this board would die. :evil:
