Isn't that just fantastic news. I am so wrapped for them.

And they just couldn't understand that it takes time to build a junior base from scratch! Well now we're starting to show those short sighted bastards a thing or two!

I'm looking at you Fitzgerald!

Looks like v the Knights - should be in Melbourne since you finished higher on the table.

Ohhh...that would be good..and what would be better, if they could play at Olympic Park...if that could be arranged somehow.

For some reason they are playing at Brookvale oval in sydney.
The Knights under 16s play the Central Coast in the earlier game - so the Knights will probably have 1000 or so fans (parents and friends mostly) at the game, but the Melbourne/Central Coast connection will mean a decent number of supporters for Melbourne as well.
This will be potentially the biggest game or sporting moment of their lives for half these kids, so lots of parents taking lots of pictures.

Absolutely awesome news.
No matter what the results are next week, these kids deserve a lap of honour at O.P. at our next home game.

BTW our u/20's won today also 46 - 32:thumb against the Warriors.

Just to put your win in perspective, the Hunter region has around 60 junior clubs with many of them having a history going back 100 years. The Hunter kids have been playing league since they were 6 years old and our SG Ball kids are the pick of a few thousand kids and all attend a specialist sports highschool from the age of 12 and eat, sleep and breath league.
I don't know anything about your junior setup, but you are now in the top four teams in the country and matching it with setups that must be 10 times as good as yours, which is real David and Goliath stuff.

Well said mate. Our SG side has beat some top quality teams this year...the knights are always up there in junior ranks. Really proud of the boys...and this means the future for League in Victoria is very bright.

you are playing Manly in the semi, who came 12th and you beat 38-6 last time you played them.
Manly had a good win over Saints, but it could have been Saints not taking them seriously enough i think.
