LOL

Look at all the whingers in this thread moaning about our salary cap.

For all those who may (and probably didn't) listen to Dean Lance talk on SEN radio last night, he said how the Storm have enforced a strict salary cap policy that ensures that they retain the players they want at a specified price - otherwise they take the offer off the table and offer it to younger players.

Great buy, Storm.

Not looking good for Newcastle

Talent? Played well for a season and has done nothing since. He's your liability now.

The Knights should have someone with the sole aim of breaking every bone in his body when we next play.

someone expendable.

hell, thats half our squad.

I am so angry right now.

Not looking good for Newcastle, he'll probably let go future reps at the club
Hard to see Newton getting a start at Melbourne anyway

why is it that BS doesn't know talent YET you feel that Newton doesn't have the talent to play for the Storm?

i think you are a little confused...;-)

Newton will go awsome for the Storm, unfortunetly so will the other players we lose.

They could have been good in their own backyard, but looks like they need somewhere else to go good.

And no not because Smith is here, been like that for a few years.

How many years since entering the NRL have the Storm not been fined for breech of the cap?????

Good luck with Newton though

The Storm have the best playing Roster in the comp and now they buy a top quality Country Rep.

There is something rotten in Melbourne.

Seems to be a lot of conjecture about cap issues in this thread ???...ever thought of the fact that we bought rejects and turned them into good players without paying a heap for them ???...

Do you honestly think we would have paid big money for the likes of Brett White, Garret Crossman, Ian Donnelly when they first signed with us...???.

Matt King (International)
Anthony Quinn (City / Country)

Greg Inglis (International)
Cooper Cronk
James Aubusson

THEN they start to get even stronger:-

Cameron Smith (International)
Brett White (State of Origin)
Russell Aitken
Adam Blair (International)
Michael Crocker (International experience)
Ben Cross (City / Country)
Garrett Crossman
Ian Donnelly
Ryan Hoffman (City / Country)
Dallas Johnson (State of Origin)
Antonio Kafusi (State of Origin)
Jeff Lima
Sam Tagatese

To name a few, and they say, oh lets go out and buy another representative backrower?

Clint Newton (City / Country)

LoL

They are in bed with News Limited, so have no fear about the repercussion of breaching the salary cap. They've had to pay "fines" in the past, and according to this weekends Sunday Herald, are under investigation again.....but what do The Storm do...

Go out and buy another rep player !!! LoL

I want their accountant to do my taxes !!!
