Hmm considering over 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the Grand Final, and the Storm and Cowboys have shown us in the past they draw well on the TV, ala over a million Victorians watching the GF last year, your prediction is a little off the mark even if that scenario happens.

Storm v Cowboys would be a good result for the NRL with the telecast going national.

Every grand final will sell out no matter who plays on the day, i actually hope its Eels/Cowboys so i have a better chance of getting a ticket rather than Manly/Parra.

So your saying that a grnad final with a queensland team and a victorian team will rate worse than a grand final between two Sydney suburbs???

You're f**ked in the head mate.

The crowd will be 80k regardless of who plays...

Er, last year was Storm v a QLD team as well, and it didn't seem to have much ill effect for the NRL. Grow up, sunshine.

Who wouldnt turn up to see a Storm/Cowboys GF?

Both teams are exciting to watch, I reckon every rugby league supporter would be trying to get tickets to see Bowen, Thurston, Folau, Slater, Inglis, and big RAY CASHMERE.

In fact I reckon it'll be 80,000 if that was the case.

Last year saw 2 interstate teams battle it out, with the ratings and attendance equalling any previous year you care to mention.

A wouldn't mind a storm vs cowboys GF. Certainly better than a parra vs manly.

Why is there such an ingrained culture in rugby league (especially in Sydney) of "oh if my team's not playing, it'll be sh*t" or "if no 'traditional' teams are there it'll be sh*t". You look at most other competitions in the world and EVERYBODY wants to see the final, no matter who is there. Because it is the biggest game of the year.

This is what it will end up being.

20,000 for the GF and hardly anyone watching it on TV.

GG nrl.

When God was handing out brains what were you doing?

Although this is the worst combo as far as my own preference goes . . . I agree

All RL fans watch the GF on tele no matter what.

You should see his efforts regarding September 9/11 on the 4 corners forum, grey matter is really lacking there.
