Storm vs Roosters

I wasnt to disappointed with the game. The result was always going to go against us. I liked the performance of a number of the young guys. I hope to see us field a side like this for much of the second half of the year, lets face it, wins are not important, getting game time into these young blokes is. I thought the young guys did well, they were up against a pretty big Roosters outfit that although lacked a bit of class were able to use their size to advantage.

Good experience for the boys.

The referees were a bit all over the place. Anyone with the ears on must have founfd the third referee comments in the first half intereting, especially about the inconsistent 10 meters.

IMO O'Neill had a nightmare defensively...he got found out too many times by committing himself on the centre and not marking his wing.

Manu played too wide for my liking and hogged Neilson of any attacking space.

Luke Kelly was good in patches.

What was it with Finch's restarts from under the posts...horrible off the side of the boot.

I wasnt too disappointed with the result or effort, the Roosters much greater experience and cohesiveness was always going to be tough to overcome. I thought we didnt look as good once Finch started to take more control, next time Luke hets his chance he cant let that happen, I agree on your comment about Sika, should have played tight at some stage but thats a coaches decsion not his, ONeill was OK, defensive awareness is always the biggest hurdle on your debut but I do feel he should have spent more time at FB.

Its not his fault either, but I realy felt they pulled the wrong reign picking Rochow, who I was very suprised he got picked. It was apparent we needed more size in the middle and unless he's injured I dont know whay Kite wasnt considered.

Besides being a man mountain from what I've seen of Kite- he is a bit of a dumb prop. I'd be surprised to actually see him play first grade to be honest. No disrespect to him as I was a fan of his when he was tearing up the NYC but he has not really set the world on fire in the NSW cup and others have looked much more on to it than someone of his potential. Perhaps Craig Bellamy will alight something within as he has done with many others but for me he just doesnt do it for me as a prop forward. Rocko has been progressing well and will eventually become a prop forward- he deserved his inclusion. Just sucked it was a game that he couldn't settle in to.

How many NSW Cup games have you seen this year ? And if not Kite, Bromwich should have got as go.

Bit harsh considering how many you had out.

Sweet Jebus! Are you actually defending the Storm?

I realise we had young guys step up, I'm not disappointed in them, I'm talking about the senior guys. Where was the leadership? They looked lost out there tonight. Not the Storm I know and love.

You are spot on SC. The leadership from the senior guys was really lacking. If there was an area that disappointed this was definately it for mine.
