I can honestly say I see no evidence of a problem between Stuart and Grothe, in fact I've heard Eric publicaly credit Ricky as a coach and I also saw a private conversation between the 2 at a pub in Parkes earlier this year after a trial match.

I actually do believe that Guru was left out of Origin because it would have made Stuart look like a fool.

Murray however would put the team first I reckon.

So why was he not in the SOO side?

Lingering doubts over his last visit? The good form of those playing? I think now he has toured with the Roos and has shown he is capable he will get his chance in 2006....

What's to doubt he pulled out the 1st time with an injury.

Good form of those playing? He was the best & most in form wingers all season. He had a form Centre pick ahead of him.

King did a great job But I thought Eric done enough to deserve the wing spot & perhaps King in Coopers centre spot.

2006, I hope so would would not be surprised whichever way it goes.

Players in who deserved Origin spots IMO were Stringer, Riddell, Tahu, Grothe and Morrison (not to mention Hindmarsh).

True, Piggy can't play 80 minutes - but he has the fire, the aggression and the ability to be a major asset off the bench. Plus he can play second row and hooker.

Morrison is an obvious choice, as is Stringer.

Grothe offers more than any other winger in the competition - he can score from anywhere AND he can make major damage from dummy half.

WHY? We were minor premiers?

definitely biased, but i agree with u UTE. we didnt get minor premiership by chance. our front row was great, and stringer leading the way there.

and did buderus do a better job than piggy could have?! sure you'd have to change the game plan a bit, seeeing as though piggy isnt an 80min player. but perhaps its time for a change.

as for the others: grothe & morrison you've got no arguement from me.

but aren't we talking about Origin selection??..if so, we weren't Minor Premiers in May/June in fact I don't even think we were great form at all at that time.

Maybe so...

But I reckon Piggy has game-changing potential (as does Widders).

Morrison eclipsed even Hindmarsh in some of his performances.

Stringer was a metre-eater and a tackling machine, and a large part of our success this year was due to him.

And Grothe is, as voted by his peers and the media, the game's best winger.

In my view, Riddell has always been THE perfect NSW benchman.

He likes to tackle the bigger blokes, and normally very efficiently gets them down.

He has skills - he can offload and kick if need be.

He is very hard to stop - he has enormous leg drive.

He is passionate.

He is aggressive.

He gets in his opponents' minds and stirs them up.

And he can kick goals.

Not an 80-minute player, but he surely coul offer 60 or so minutes of quality for NSW.
