Wendell Sailer described the QLD cup as the stronger comp.

Back to topic, being a resident on the SC, I honestly believe they will struggle for crowds and unless Quad Park is developed quickly there will be no professional ground to play on.

Unless Noosa Pirates let them play there, and I doubt that sincerely. Nambour Showground is a possibility but not a decent enough venue IMO.

Wendell Sailor didnt play in the NSW Cup he played in the Jim Beam Cup. Bit of a difference between the 2. Still I think the QLD Cup is a better comp.

For what it's worth, Jamie Simpson (current Souths centre) said the QLD Cup was tougher than the NSW Cup.

If the Sunny Coast is on the way in does that mean a team is on the way out ? If so, who ? Rumours abound on the Gold Coast that all is not well at the Tweed Seagulls. Many unhappy players at this 100 year old club are believed to be looking at other playing options for 2009. Stay tuned !

That's because they have been told up to 8 Titan's under 20 players will be playing for Tweed Q Cup next year.

It's conditional on their playing roster being up to scratch. If they have a roster of the standard of their Colts and FOGS sides of the last couple of years they can forget it

Slightly off topic but a news piece at the weekend was suggesting the WA Reds are now looking at the NSW cup rather than the Q'land cup for 2010. Seems it has something to do with a possible feeder club link up with an NRL club.

I don't see how a link with an NRL club would affect which competition they play in, considering St George, Canberra & Manly all have associations with QCup teams. I think NSW Cup would be a lot better though, who wants to fly from Perth to Sydney, then Sydney to Cairns? (or, more precisely, who wants to pay for that?)

Yeah agreed. From the WA Reds POV it makes more sense to play in the NSW Cup. Still won't stop me from being disappointed, I was really hoping to get one of their jersey's with the QLD logo on it. Now I'll have to wait until they make the NRL before I get a jersey.
