Super Bowl 50: Carolina v Denver

Must go down as one or the best defenses of all time.

Has to especially when you consider this is now an offensive league. The Ravens won in a different era. The Seahawks shut down the greatest offense ever two years ago but they got help from the offense and special teams. This defense basically won a Superbowl on their own. They beat Big Ben, Brady and then the #1 O and MVP.

At least you're self-aware.

Happy to be a dumbarse haha

Whole game I was waiting for them to come good. But in the whole game, they only had one good drive. Best offence in the game, with only one good drive.

Crazy game.

Has to be one of the greatest defences in NFL history.

Just as satisfying as SBXXXII for me. So many monkeys off our back and the win puts us in elite company. Loved watching Miller, Ware, Wolfe and co eat up the Panthers O line. Wore my Wolfe jersey with pride baby. 2016 is going to be a great year!

Make statements like Norman did, you better back it up with a win. He didn't. Otherwise, yes, I will laugh at their tears.
Actually I retract my comments about Norman, showed class in defeat...

Cam... Wow!

favourite moment of the day was when the whole crowd booed brady. not so much branch but he was collatereal damage because he played for the patriots as well. does anybody find it weird that those two players were actually booed? i mean there many rival players that came out yet only the patriots players were shown disrespect. the resentment against that team runs deep in a majority of football fans. it will be interesting to see what the mood is 10 or 20 years from now.

To be honest I HATE that the media demands interviews immediately after championship games like the SB etc.
Players put their heart and soul into their season to win it all and I don't think it's fair to expect them to smile through it all when they've lost the biggest game of their life.
He definitely shouldn't have walked out but not everyone can put their emotions in a box, hopefully he grows from this experience.

People always hate the team that has for most part dominated the league for the best part of the last. 15 years.

I am not sure I agree...Cam could have been more professional, but his words

Newton said:
"They just played better than us," he added. "I don't know what you want me to say, I'm sorry. They made more plays than us, and that's what it came down to. We had opportunities. It wasn't nothing special that they did. We dropped balls, we turned the ball over, gave up sacks, threw errant passes. That's it, they scored more points than us."
Clearly blaming himself and his offence, perhaps taking away from Von, but blaming himself and O line.

Norman went the path of blaming refs

And he was cryptic when trying to find the cause of the team's 24-10 defeat.

"It's hard to play two teams," Norman said multiple times after the game.
Norman wouldn't elaborate on what he meant. He likely means the officials, not the Panthers' offense. Carolina had 12 penalties in the game, many of them before the snap.
Cam said better team won and we played crap, mainly me, and Norman blames the refs.

I do concede he could have done a much, better job in the interview.

Just finished watching the game.
Firstly congrats to Denver and their fans always classy, and deserved success.
That defense what else can be said. Knocked Carolina off there game early and kept pounding. Just didn't give them any breathing room. I kept expecting an explosion that just never happened.
Von Miller incredible performance. really gotta wonder if the Seattle SB could have been different if he, Harris and Wolfe played.

Well done to Manning. Not a vintage performance obviously, but his job I guess was to do just enough, and not lose the game, and he did that mostly. Good way to call it a day after a stellar career. He carried enough poor defensive teams on his back, so he's probably entitled to have been carried this game and season.

Carolina, just not their day. I don't think anything they faced in the season prepared them for that defense. Their own defense did almost enough, but the Broncs did more. They'll learn from this, I'd be shocked if they're not back in the big game in the next few years and get a better result.

no doubt. the game would have been alot closer. they couldn't stop the seagulls on 3rd down early on. this had an unsettling effect on the team and they imploded under defensive pressure as the game wore on. a shame really they weren't there.
