Thanks Jason, I might take you up on that.... Have to do one more sweep through the 2005 players, adding this season's stats and tidying up the debit/previous clubs, and after that I'm sure there'll be some gaps there you'd be able to fill in. And then also in the new year with info on some of the younger guys coming into the first teams?

Keith Mason to Castleford. A young prop with a lot to prove, could make a good pairing with Danny Scully

I'll be willing to help out with any stats and stuff if needed?

Mason is expected to be confirmed tomorrow, no real loss to Saints really but I would have liked to have kept him as I think he's got potential.

Thanks for the offer SFW. I might take you up on that once I get a picture of what gaps we might have once new squads are announced?

EH, I reckon leave this one for individual recuirtment news, and put a new thread up with finalised squads and numbers?

I can make it a sticky when you do, and you can add in whenever each team gets around to announcing them, and then people can make comments on the squads' strengths as a whole in that thread.

At least they are signing young British talent (so far) and they are young enough to improve. Bailey actually looked really good for Hull about a year ago before a foot injury set him back.

That's true, and they don't have much of a window to recruit anyway under the current rules. But I suspect they will try and bring in an overseas signing or two though...

Whether the young players (and any overseas signings) can improve or step up within the next twelve months will be the club's main concern. If not it's probably back down the slippery slope for Cas.
