Isn't it possible that the Giants might wait until after the game on Sunday to officially announce signing Robbie Paul? It's been "announced" in the media already, just no mention yet by Huddersfield.

Oooh, missed that. Not sure what role Paul will play at Giants next year though, can't see it a being a real smart buy?

Great utility value and he's a better halfback than Paul March anyway

Hmmm... I think you'll need a supersub on the bench as well if Paul is going to be a starter, haven't seen him as a real 80 min player for a while?

I think the Bulls will be fine mate, i'm sure they have a few signings lined up and a young prop coming through called Matt James is outstanding as well as is Matt Cook.
As it stands atm, a 2006 side would look like:
Withers
Vainikolo
Hape
Harris B
Pryce K
Harris I
Deacon
Langley
Meyers
Johnson
Fielden
Higham/Newton
Vagana

Cook, Parker, James, Smith

Both Higham and Newton are yet to sign (if they are in fact going to), and you have left out Ian Henderson, who's done a great job at hooker since arriving in June. Also, Robbie Paul has yet to sign elsewhere, and although he's likely to go to Hudd, him being on the bench isn't a bad move.

Of course, while our top 17 looks formidale, injuries are unfortunately inevitable, it would be good to have a few more top-line players in reserve.

Paul White has signed for Wakefield, apparently to play fullback, where IMO he will be crucified.

Brett Ferres is also a good young back-rower who has been playing pretty regularly this term.

Providing they do sign one or both of Newton and Higham they should go pretty well in 2006, although I can't see them winning anything.

Warrington have released Darrell Cardiss who hasn't played all year, but gave him a good wrap. He'll be leaving along with Gaskell and Appo. (Source: superleague.co.uk)

Lists their 2006 signings as Paul Rauhihi (Nth Qld), Michael Sullivan (Cronulla), Richie Barnett (Hull), Stuart Reardon (Bradford) - probably already in the first post/page, but too laxy to look back and check ;-)
