Are they likely to drop promotion/relegation? Seems to be crazy to consider it given the money Toronto seem to be willing to spend.

There's talk of expanding the divisions but I'm not sure if that is with or without P& R. Toronto may be spending big but most of it ends up in players' and agents' pockets. Another factor in an expanded SL is the money that League 1 teams get will be slashed.

I heard mentioned a 14 team SL, a 14 team Championship, and a 14 team League 1. To get the 14 that means L1 will be expanding again for Manchester and a Scottish side

Manchester are in the mix but that's the first I've heard of a Scottish team. They need to organise a domestic set up before putting a side in League 1.

Thanks folks. I'm working out bush so am relying on poor phone coverage and LU posts for my updates for the time being.

A question DP, what is the fans opinions of how the RFL is running the league. From my position on the other side of the world it seems like they are progressive and trying to expand their market. What are your thoughts mate?

The thing is they are not progressive. Yes we have Toronto and Toulouse in the system and I am thankful for that but it's happened in spite of the RFL not because of them. They are happy for people to expand the game as long as it's not costing them money.

For all intents and purposes that was irrelevant in the creation of the Wolfpack. They aren't going to provide professional playing talent in any numbers for a long time.
Relevant enough to allow Canada to compete in the WC qualification process. Something Scotland shouldn't be anywhere near at this moment in time.

Very true but they still don't have to let them play n the RFL system. Don't worry, even though TWP foot the travel and accommodation bills there are plenty of clubs who don't want them in the league here.

I get what your saying. It frustrates me seeing English fans on social media complain about Toronto and France.
Everything wrong with English rugby league gets blamed on Canada. It's like the south park movie.

The in competent RFL should be spending money on failing clubs in the heartlands not Canadia!

The 'struggling' clubs should be self-sufficient enough to not be struggling when they enter the professional leagues. As a league fan I'm more excited at the prospects of Toronto and Toulouse as opposed to seeing Hemel and South Wales be regularly belted
