Yeah, our opener scored 56 in the second dig, which said a lot.

This was our 3rd game of the season. So far we have lost by 6 wickets (they passed our score 2 down and went for outright, didn’t get it), 120 runs, and 308 runs today (again, went for outright and fell short).

Wasn't cortisone FTR. Had an arthrogram so it was the dye....felt fking weird. I wouldn't say it was painful but definitely uncomfortable

No exercise for 7 days....so training tomorrow is on the sly.

never really had the speed gun on them but I open the batting against some pretty quick bowling.

I generally play second grade and the occasional first grade if they are short. If its short I duck or just lean back out of the way as being pretty tall it has to be pretty short to hit my melon so you get time to react

Fair enough. Playing most of the games on astro (because there are legitimately about six senior turf grounds in Canberra that are safe) I've always worn one, good quicks can get you in lots of trouble. Not a shot at you personally or anything but I just don't understand not wearing it tbh. It's not worth getting it wrong...even last night, I got lidded because our nets are shit and bounce really uneven

I find I bat better without a lid, but playing up grades & having only one good eye kinda necessitates it.
