And the Aussie wins the stage!

Get in son! Cracking ride....to blow out Verona and Sivakov is a decent effort for any rider. To relegate Sep Kuss to fourth and beat an attacking Romain Bardet and Jack Haig is legit awesome

she aint very popular this side of the border with so many people living on one side and working on the other, or worse still having a business on the other side where they have had to shut it down or live away from their family

she has done a lot of damage to Queenslanders near the border
She isn't popular on the Gold Coast, or basically anywhere south of the Logan River. Everyone knew it was a pissing contest between her and Gladys, and that Palaszczuk's demands that the border checkpoints weren't feasible to anyone living in Tweed Heads but working elsewhere like Byron Bay or Lismore.

The belief here is that the hard border is purely political. Because the Gold Coast is virtually safe LNP except for Southport, that the Tweed region in State politics is National, and the NSW and Federal govt's are Coalition, Palaszczuk gains nothing politically by assisting the region. Rather, she gains in Brissie and the surrounding regions for Labor due to her "keeping Queenslanders safe" rhetoric.
