It's funny how, despite the plethora of quality TV shows i've wathced over recent years (Arrested Development, Thick of It, Peep Show, Inbetweeners and more) nothing can top early simpsons for the ability to pick me up if im in a crappy mood or put a smile on my face. Watched a few early episodes yesterday (Bart gets an F, Lisa's substitute and a couple of others), just brilliant.

I'm not a fan of season 1 but 2-6 have some of the best crafted writing in the history of television. I've been watching those episodes for as long as I remember and they still make me laugh.

Yeah season 1 they still finding their feet, 2-6 was just awesome, with 7-10 still having some gold. Last good ep I remember was the Behind the Laughter ep in season 12.
