Admittedly I'm surprised you're getting so defensive about Souths in here. Thought most teams would love to fly under the radar and accept underdog status.

It's worked for Des.

All most Souths fans including myself are saying is we think we have a decent chance. We're not saying we should be favourites, we're not saying we're not underdogs, we just think we have a fighting chance and there's some other teams fans on here not willing to acknowledge even that much.

We deserve underdog status, we're happy with being underdogs, but we have a decent chance. That's all we're saying.

I can relate. I followed Illawarra pre-merger, and finals appearances for us were as rare as hens teeth, much like Souths over the last 2 decades. It got a bit better post merger, as we were regular finals participants, but I still had to wait until I was 30 and sit through multiple premiership wins by teams I loathed to finally get a taste of success, and boy does it taste good. I sincerely hope you finally get to taste what it's like DKoR.
