By the by, the Australian cricket team was embarrassed again last night.

That's because the selectors adopted a policy of not picking the best players available to them

our current cricket selector are the worst ever, as evidenced by our results

lol. Thumped India at home, beat the windies away, lost 1-0 to SOuth Africa (the best team in the world) when we really were on top for one test and much of another one, beat sri lanka 3-0 and then had a bad series in India, a place we were never going to do well in.

Couldnt give a toss about the champions trophy personally.

Selectors did pick a poor Indian squad, but the squad for the Ashes is pretty reasonable (considering our batting talent is really poor at present).

I think we're losing games because players (especially batsmen that arent Clarke) are showing poor discipline at the crease, either chasing too many balls they dont need to (Warner, Wade, Watson and probably Haddin now he's back) or getting themselves completely bogged down by not looking for singles (Hughes) or ticking the strike over.

Im not saying the selectors are great (Maxwell ffs) but I think Australia's problems go well beyond the selectors, and more towards the way we're playing the game at different levels and the issues surrounding T20's effect on the game.

I don't think we have the talent available to us to dominate like we once did, mainly due to the de-emphasis on Sheffield Shield form as a prerequisite for Test selection

I was at a wedding recently and was sitting at a table with a guy who said he was a barista.

I thought he meant he went to Italy and studied etc etc

Turns out he works at a coffee cart outside a doctors surgery. The poor merkin was 45 or so

Had a HUGE coffee

At Gloria Jeans

:(

GJs are ok if you get a barrista who knows what they are doing

Was just about to say the same thing. Provided they don't burn it, the beans are good enough quality that it tastes ok.

The one good thing they do is provide consistency, I think. You know what you're going to get at a GJ's. Every other shop is a complete lottery unless you've been there before.

Just pointed out el diablo's AFL obsession in the main board

Expect to be banned in 3 2 1

He needs to find another hobby horse.
