The current pitch (as we've written the first two episodes) is a mockumentary about three foreign men and three foreign women living in Nanjing, China. It follows their lives in China as well as showing Chinese perceptions of the west. The only major hanging point that this time is that the Chinese keep vetoing anything remotely judgement of the Chinese, but are in love with anything mocking the white man.

I genuinely feel sorry for Parra right now. They are doing it tough. I feel that Saints are heading in their direction ie complete rabble, whilst Parra have only up to go.

But yes. I have major issues with them as a Christian. They've had a particularly destructive impact on Christianity due to their worship style and prosperity theology. As a guy studying to be a pastor, its quite confronting to see the way Brian and Bobby live their life. They've really distorted the understanding of money as the bible has said.

The idea that God rewards those who give money to the church with more money is more in line with the cult of Mammon than with the gospel of Jesus the Christ.

What we do know is that Houston wears a watch worth thousands of dollars, he owns an enormous house overlooking a bush valley, in a suburb of other enormous houses, at Glenhaven. He also owns a picturesque spread on the Hawkesbury River, near Windsor, just west of Sydney, gets paid handsomely to speak overseas and is a property developer ? and he?s not ashamed of any of it.

Most sitcom characters are stereotypical to start with so that should be no biggie. The main thing is to have enough compliment and contrast between the core characters to sustain a 20-30 episode run.
