I am a big fan of Maloney, but I think we would have been better off giving Carney another go this series, in game last year he was showing he had adapted to Origin footy. Mullen and Carney for NSW halves in 2014.

Maloney and Carney for mine. Which is who I wanted for game 1. There was no point changing it this game but I think Pearce needs to go next year. Maloney is a very good player, I just think he's struggling a bit in his first series and especially with Pearce being ordinary and Farah being inconsistent....

Mullen is a player who's very good as finding the grass as opposed to an opposition fullback on the fly. Even when he's not in great form, he seems to find the grass with his kicks more often than other half does.
