Depends where you are. Grandstands are fine, Western and Northern will be the best options as they are the most modern. Southern Stand is pretty draconian and not overly young family friendly. The goat track / path on top of the hill would be a death trap, but the family area on the hill is next to the eastern entrance gate so that is convenient.

I actually like Wollongong, I shouldn't be so harsh on it, was contemplating going for a job at the RFDS in Sydney about 6'months ago and doing the commute from the 'gong.


My one funny footy story of Wollongong was at that game Piggy jumped the fence and clapped himself. Wearing a cowboys jersey and sitting on the hill with some mates, I've gone to the bar and this 10 year old kid comes up to me while i was walking and goes

'are you from Townsville?'

I go 'yeah mate, but I live in Sydney now'

Lad- ' is it really nice up there?'

Me- 'hells yeah!awesome weather, awesome fishing and nice people as well'

Lad- ' well I've heard you are all a bunch off f@&$ing poofs up there!!' And walks off...............

What the hell do you say to that??????
