Just watched 75 minutes of the game (recorded from 7:30 to 9:30 and missed the end, thanks channel 9). Not sure why people are whinging about the refs, they were pretty consistently penalising second efforts all night. The only shit penalty I saw was the one for Inglis which should've just been play on against I think Horo or Lawrence. Otherwise Manly got beaten by a better disciplined, better defensive side.

What annoys me about English football: "The Championship" is 2nd division and "League 1" is 3rd division.

Stupid stupid stupid names given to these leagues to try and make them sound more exciting/important.

I know the reasons for it. Doesn't make it any less stupid.

The championship is not the highest tier of English football. The league calling itself "League 1" is not the number 1 anything.

Calling any league "the championship" when its best teams get promoted out of it is the most illogical thing I have ever seen. You don't get promoted out of championships. You get promoted out of 2nd divisions.
