I don't want kids, kids are the only humans I can show any real affection towards and the thought of anyone hurting my own children would destroy me.

Don't get me wrong, I would want my kids to be adventurers, I'd be happy for them to fall over etc, but the thought of some monster stealing their childhood breaks my heart. If I ever accidentally got pregnant, I'd get an abortion.

Seems like a very negative way to approach it. Statistically, your kids aren't particularly likely to have their innocence stolen unless you send them to a Catholic school.
