Everyone knows I'm not part of the Pearce circle jerk, I agree commentators etc seem to overrate him and he is woeful in origin, that said he's, arguably the next halfback available for NSW. He's a great club foot ballet, he was excellent for us last week and solid this week. He's not as good as DCE but I bet right now DCE is wishing he was Pearcey.

I doubt that. He might wish he won but having that burden to bear along with a ring is just not worth it.

I trust ropes, I should be fine. Really hope I don't whimp out. I can imagine it like that moment before dropping into a half pipe, f**k I hate those moments.

Pearce is average. He should be nowhere near Origin but then again he should be nowhere near reserve grade. He has his moments and can look like a good player at times for the Roosters. Sometimes he displays control with his kicking game and good vision in his short passing game. But overall he easily goes missing in games.

He could be a good club halfback and that's it. Just doesn't have enough weapons in his artillery to be effective at rep level. He isn't as terrible as fans suggest but he isn't that good either. Maloney is much more capable and much better than Pearce. It should be Carney/Maloney in the halves for NSW not Pearce/Maloney.
