Man, I wish I still had faith. I believe in a higher power, but can't put any truck in organised religion.

You don't need to put truck into an organised religion to believe and have faith ;-) Heb 11:1.

I have the same issues with the organisation of the church and I'm looking to get into it! But if Jesus is Lord, then its your response to Him that is more important than any human institution.

I still pray. I still feel a sense of serenity when I'm in a Church too. The Catholic Church has just burned me out on trusting people to interpret the messages of any deity there might be up there.

I do too. I think that is more the architecture and enhanced acoustics of the place for me though.

Went to a Catholic high school (no, I wasn't touched). A lot of it really upset me. I never gave up faith but walked away from it for many years.

Chased a girl I knew at work lol who took me to church. Found logical, intelligent people with sane beliefs that had what I believe is the Christian faith as explained by the bible (and not mankind) and it made a huge difference. When you're in Sydney next we'll catch up for a beer - I'd love to hear your story.

I never believed. Not sure why. I went through the Catholic school system my whole life, did all my sacraments and Religion classes and whatnot and never thought too much about why they were making me do them. I did all the work, never really believed in any of it, but I didn't care either way.

I don't disbelieve in science. I just don't think it satisfactorily answers the four questions: that of origin, meaning of life, morality and destiny.

I lived with a guy who preached that at me every time I mentioned God, including just saying 'bless you'.

I thought only religious people could get annoying and preachy, but atheist have it down sometimes.

Raised and grew up Catholic. Stopped going to Church when I was 23. Only really went Easter and Chrissy Eve after that.
Found my faith at uni, sevvies have a great way of getting the word out.

Not all boring force fed bullshit like the Catho church. They bored me into agnosticism.
