I just got a visit from the owner of the company I work for.

He bought me a tea and muffin as a thank you. Apparently my bosses have been singing my praises about the product changeover in my store last week and the initiative I showed in my prep. As well as the policies writing I've been doing.

I get to do the guide for the next changeover. I'm really excited.

Great work Dani :D Very proud of you!

Posting three sizable boxes of clothes, books, souvenirs etc back to Australia today.

Due to the 35C heat and the fact the post office is miles away, I've rented a truck for $10.

Postage should only be around 2000rmb ($300) for close to 40kg of stuff

geez for that rate, get a bigger box, punch some holes in it and post yourself home..

Doing the math, an airline ticket was cheaper.

If 40kg = $300, I'd need to double that and add half again to reach my 100kg total.

My plane ticket was only $600 and includes in flight, food, and 40kg of baggage allowance

but what of the sense of adventure..

the high seas, listening to the faint call of mermaids perched upon rocks?

the ability to come home and call all your mates scurvy land lubber's?

Noone has a sense of adventure any more, muzzers.

Plus, he could film it - 'Life of Mis'. He's far more interesting than Pi.

i do..

i decided to wear my boxer shorts back to front today..

the little bit of extra breeze that my backside gets from having the fly round that side just keeps you on your toes, as you think you've split your pants..
