Strange. I'm currently paying $70 pm including line rental with unlimited downloads, they were the cheapest I could find for my area. Get download speeds of between 3 and 5 Mbps depending on load. The only reason I don't get ADSL2 is because their is no availability at the exchange regardless of ISP otherwise I would for the same price. I did notice the other day that they don't have bundled prices advertised on their website at the moment so I figured prices were going up. If they try to increase mine when the contract is up I will just switch to someone else I guess.

I do remember support was OKish originally, they communicated well about when the switch would happen etc but they were hopeless when the internet didn't work at the start. Had to change a setting or two in the router but I worked that one for myself and had it solved before they did. Would hate to be a customer of theirs if you have no IT knowledge

I was out of contract for a year so when I moved they raised my prices to stick me on a new contract.

They told me there was no ADSL2 on my exchange, both times. I'm still on the same exchange and I'm currently getting ADSL2 coming down the line so Telstra must've found a port.

Maybe Telstra keep a couple of spare ports for themselves instead of giving them to resellers.

Coffee will be easy. Good strong cap with two sugars and some cinnamon on top will ease you into it. Once you begin to enjoy the flavours, you just need to gradually pull back on the sugar and you'll be drinking piccolo's and short macchiato's in no time.

Wine is a bit more complex. Sounds like you've had a lot of big brutal stuff that has a bit too much sulfate; generally cheap stuff. If you get some subtle Hunter Shiraz or Hilltops Cab Sauv which is smoother you'll begin to enjoy it I think. The Canberra syrah I mentioned a few pages back would be one I'd recommend.

If you pay a pittance you get piss with wine; spending an extra $5-10 on a bottle generally nets a massive improvement. Not always, but genreally. Our Inheritance is about $7 a bottle but is generally fairly reasonable. Our Hanwood stuff is $12 usually, but scores quite well at shows.

My internet absolutely sucks. Seriously, youtube vids go to 144 pps as default ( i have to switch to 360 and wait a while), downloading anything takes quite a while.

I am going to upgrade to a new laptop soon instead of this current desktop (which is ok but is still rocking Windows XP). Would the Windows XP factor be dragging internet speed down or do I just have crappy crappy internet

It's not your pc or internet, it's f**king Youtube. It does the same thing for me. They start out at 360 then automatically turn to 144 after a few seconds without me touching it. GRRRRRRRRR
