Keep arguing with the med student, BF; I love seeing an uppity genius put in their place.
I didn't respond to him - because, well as El D put it, 'tldr'!
In your case, it'd be tlcr, amirite?
I think Tedesco + Mansour have both been pretty brave to not sign for Canberra tbh. Im certainly happy as a footy fan, that Tigers side will be good to watch soon.
But I've really changed my stance on 'player loyalty' these days. It's still great when you see it happen. But I think they're kind of mad. Footy is not a particularly long career. 10 years, often less, sometimes a little bit longer if you're good enough to last. You could get your career severely dulled by injury anytime (see Chris Lawrence and others) which hurts your future earning ability.
Plus the years most people spend learning a trade or going to uni or whatever your spending playing footy. You make a good wage, but not a lifetimes wage (unless you're particularly canny), and it's harder to retrain and whatnot after you've finished playing.
It's nice when loyalty crops up, and I'm sure it's nice to keep playing with their mates, but i don't think we should expect them to show loyalty, they're perfectly entitled to take whatever money they can IMO

Here's an hilarious story.
My sister just told me that at school in their religion scripture crap class the teacher that was teaching it said they healed someone's paralysed hand at their church on the weekend. They then proceeded to try and heal someone IN THE CLASSROOM. Of course they didn't pick the kid with the broken arm, no no no, they tried a kid with a 'sore hand'.

f**king nutjobs.
The New South Wales Public Education system is brilliant.
Question: Why are they learning about church and religion in a public school?
Yes, but that's because your club did that, they put themselves up as some better entity on bred not bought, then bought brisbanes forward packWell that's completely true, yet idiots on here continue to bring up the 'Bred not bought' bullshit from years ago!
That's another good pointI don't understand why players should show loyalty to a club. If a player turns to shit or has a horrible run with injuries, in the majority of times, the club will be more than happy to cut them loose. If the loyalty isn't going to be a two way street why bother?
what if it is BF being run over by cyclists and then beaten with cricket bats?
I do consider myself intellectually above common dross, and I don't post 90% of junk in the ST.As ultra is larger (and therefore superior) to super, I am starting this thread for those who consider themselves intellectually above the common dross and human filth that posts 90% of the junk in the so-called Superthread.
No, 2 levels of previous management did 6 years ago as a simple marketing gimmick, yet idiots from today still stuck in the past still make reference to it.Yes, but that's because your club did that, they put themselves up as some better entity on bred not bought, then bought brisbanes forward pack
ALso saw an interesting thing in the new AFL Cap laws - you can spend under the cap and use that saving over the cap in other years.
Eg you're going to be shit anyway, your better juniors aren't ready, sign up some filler players on the cheap, get through a season best as possible, when you're good it's easier to retain some of your players due to the savings of previous years.
Hard to police I imagine, but interesting
