Don't knock MSG, it goes good.
Until you're feeling bloated eating a small portion of a meal.

Pfft, rubbish. MSG is a flavour enhancer used in minute quantities, not something that bloats you up.
Despite subjective reports of MSG sensitivity, there is no conclusive evidence it is a legitimate medical condition, according to Mayo Clinic. If you experience severe or prolonged bloating, talk to a doctor about your treatment options.
It is not a flavor enhancer... it is a type of salt. And it does cause bloating: http://www.livestrong.com/article/308048-relief-from-bloating-due-to-msg-consumption/
From the article you posted:
"It is added to many processed food products for its flavor enhancing and preservative properties."
And the article also refers to all sodium, not just MSG. You have to be eating a lot of high sodium processed food to get bloating as described in the article.
Points for trying though.
BF. Tell me this. Why do you put salt on food. To enhance what?

What that article does not mention though, is the many food joints, particularly Asian, put excess amounts of MSG into their foods - more then they need to. This is what causes bloating. You'll finish your meal which is relatively small in size and feel satisfied after that even though an MSG-free meal of the same proportion won't have the same effect.
Hey, I like Asian food outlets like Hokka Hokka etc... but I have them very rarely, once a year if I'm lucky.
Actually I try not to have salt on anything if possible. Yes I know it's not possible to avoid every aspect of it... but in fact I try to have more potassium to flush out the salt.
Do you eat a lot of processed food? If not, you might want to see a doctor because you shouldn't feel bloated after consuming a small amount of food containing MSG

It's not how much processed food you eat, it's how much MSG is in the serving.
You do realise that the body needs a certain amount of salt to function.Actually I try not to have salt on anything if possible. Yes I know it's not possible to avoid every aspect of it... but in fact I try to have more potassium to flush out the salt.
