I've also decided to trial for an NFL team.

He'll be gone for 12 months before he realises he can't make it and then he'll be straight back...

My thoughts exactly.

12 months is being quite generous I think.

Took Benji, what, 4 months? You're likely right, but then Hayne is younger so has more time to waste trying.

The more I think of this the more I think we shouldn't have let him go.

Nup. Baz was right - you stop him, he sooks, then he pisses off. This way, at the least, your team has to learn to get better. Or your recruitment does...

You don't think it will be benificial to the team to learn to play without him knowing that there is a chance he may be back?

Agree.

Tough for it to be beneficial when he's 50% of our attacking playmaking

True too, but then is he like that because they're reliant on him?

Why? He gets pissed off, sulks, takes up 800k of our cap while not playing well, then leaves after his contract is up and doesn't come back.

actually he left before his contract was up..

not that it makes it any better..

oh.. and bambi's mother gets shot... Sorry..

In other news, how do commsec still allow Tom Piotrowski to go on tv giving financial advice?

last time i took investment recommendations from a homeless bum, i blew thousands on a rat farm because apparently they are 'good eating'..

Benji also swapped to a sport that is relatively similar (albeit inferior) then back in that time period. Hayne is going to a sport with very little in common with what he has played since a kid. And it isn't like he will be a punter like the AFL where all he has to do is kick a ball occasionally.

I wish him all the best, but I just cannot see him being picked up by anyone.

Drew. What is acceptable attire for Sunday church?

My Grandma's church donates the church and hall for free for her funeral, the minister (and the retired minister)offed their services for free too, so I kind of promised I'd start going to Sunday services. First time I'll have done so and I'm a little nervous. But they were so good to us the past week, I feel it's the right thing to do. Plus, my Grandma's faith was so important to her.

In my church-going experience, you dressed somewhere between formal and smart casual. No need to suit up, but something nicer than jeans and a t-shirt is usually the go.

Guys wear trousers and a button up. Girls wear a dress or slacks and a nice top.

That's just us Catholics, though.

It depends on the congregation.

Smart casual would be the norm in many, but some might still be more formal.

Be conservative on your first day and have a look at what others are wearing.

Condolences on the loss. Emotions run high and while you want to do this for her, you still have to want to do it for yourself as well.

The faith and commitment has to come from within, as a willing commitment and not an obligation.

Just my 2c.

I'm doing it for her. If it's not for me (which it probably isn't) I'll stop going. Just honouring my word at the moment.

Not going to force anything on myself. I'm upset, not an idiot.
