I hate the Storm, but I support their existence, otherwise there'd be no f**king RL at all south of say, Wollongong.

I don't want them gone at all either for that reason and that I would like to eventually see them suffer.

They should be suffering now. Any team caught engaging in such practices should be put on the open market. All players should be forced to find other clubs for next season.

No club would take such a risk.

That's exactly what should have happened and in addition, if there was evidence that Bellamy or any of the players were in anyway complicit then they should have been banned for life.

And when no other club could afford what they wanted, we lose three top five players to other codes. It's a great circle jerk, but be realistic.

I am being realistic.

It's a message that would only have to be delivered once - and that should have been the Dogs in 2002.

Pfft. Other codes? AFL isn't a realistic option and who was the last high profile nrl player to defect to rugby, Timana Tahu? Melbourne should never have been able to keep the players they cheated to retain. Nor should the Dogs for that matter

Fine different punishment.

I'm not in favour of a draft but it should be implemented in this instance.

All players involved in salary cap cheating sides should be included in a special end of season draft where teams ranked 16-1 (not including the salary cap offending side) can select from those players. The players will play until the end of their contract for the new club at the salary registered with the NRL, it will not be included in the salary cap of the new club and it will be paid for by the salary cap offending club.

Who did we cheat to retain though? We always would have retained the big three. The cheating was there so we could have a good team around them.. We did ditch that good team if you remember.

Just adding to this.

For example in 2010

Cowboys select Cameron Smith
Sharks select Billy Slater
Bulldogs select Greg Inglis
Parra select Cooper Cronk

.etc

Dogs didn't have to honor contracts, we did. They kept their squad as far as I know, we ditched petty much everyone except a core of players.
