You guys have been on fire.

I tell you what - I really rate Rick Stone as a coach.

Im a bit on the fence re: Stoney

On 1 hand he had us playing some good footy during his short stint previously, despite having to work with probably the worst RL forward pack in NRL history

On the other hand he has been around the club a long time and I question his ability to make the tough decisions regarding long term players not performing

Proof will be in the pudding next year I guess

I forgot about the Lui factor with the cowboys. Hopefully the broncs beat them, he makes 65 errors and 87 missed tackles and the cowboys rip up his contract. Then I can support them in a finals series.

Until then I hope they lose.

Waddell is gone already, off to the Donkeys in 2015

Kids I can stomach at fullback for 2015 but needs to be out the door after that

No idea why he went with Bennett given McCullogh is there.

Kids is ok at FB. Agree 2015 he needs to go.

Well he has been overtaken by Clydesdale and Randall at the Knights

With the Donkeys losing Granville they really have no other FG hookers to draw from so I guess it was his best shot at getting some NRL game time. I cant think of many other clubs that are short a bog average hooker

Massive weekend in the 'ville, still feeling the effects from a ridiculous saturday night!!!

Gonna be an absentee on Saturday, a little gutted I'm gonna be overseas for the broncos final, would have loved to have gone up again but I think the missus would hit the roof flying up 2 weekends straight

We have Kyle Stanley playing hooker, we can only dream of him ever being bog average...

You look up potential in the dictionary and it says:

Kyle Stanley. Great potential. Under realised asset. See also injured.

Finally moving out, after a year of the landlord saying "soon". Back to Lambton, this time an old pub. So that's a brothel, a crack den, and a pub. Probably says something of my character.

That's been a Newcastle problem for a long time. Apart from when Brian Smith was up there and everyone (to be fair, not Newcastle fans, but others) kicked up a stick over it. I still would've loved to have seen what happened up there had They extended him, rather than just piss him off during his third season.

The attitude has long stunk up Newcastle way so I can understand why you'd have misgivings over Stone taking over. I hope he goes well

I reckon there'll be a bit of a shake up to the top 8 next year. Alot of sides on the fringes and even lower of the 8 have great potential to leap up the standings. Alot of teams in the 8 have some pretty big personel changes next season.

Watching Travis Waddell try to run through a defensive line is like watching wet concrete running through a sieve.

Takes forever to get there and when it eventually does, you know it has no chance of going through.

Well first of all, the Knights didnt piss Brian Smith off anywhere. Smith took up an offer with the Roosters with a year to go on his contract and aquired a release. The guy is a serial contract breaker

The rest you are correct about and the "old boys" culture of the place has held us back over the years. Jeez even having Bedsy, who I love and think will be a great coach one day, as an assistant coach 1 year after he has retired from playing with the same guys is a flawed appointment. At least Chief has had the good sense to see the writing on the wall

I thought with smith they weren't offering an extension (or getting very late on it) and eventually he just took on the roosters offer
