Do a Burgess family > Manly article, considering Tom will be signed soon. George is off contract, and Sam is a failure at Rugby. We've got 2+ mill to throw around next year.

agree, but think it's all in the timing.. You don't want people to smell a rat..

that's why the JA one didn't go as well as i thought as most people were expecting it to be false as it came from me, and i tend to do that kind of stuff a bit..

This would be quality. I think to get the most traction avoid posting the troll stories on LU. For this one I would start with posting somewhere like the general Rugby League section on somewhere like the Kennel or whatever the current incarnation of The Wall is & let them move it on to The Burrow.

The aim should be to get one of the papers to get caught up in it.

It is a real possibility though. Not many clubs are in the position to get 2-3 of the Burgi together, let alone the space to get Sam back + NRL backed marquee shit.

Pretty sure George is off contract end of 2016 sorry Dutchy. Although he could always seek a release to continue to play with his brothers

Otherwise, could go with a Bennett signing of Jeremy Smith / Beau Scott.

what we need is a story with a hook (so something sensational) but also believability..

eg - loltzen had the sensation element given he backflipped, but also a believability to it due to him not having a game at the moment, as well as his link to marshall..


manly could work - angle would be 3 burgess bros, not 4 - george stay where he is, but tom join, given he is off contract, as well as sam coming back from england. and sam brings back with him matty smith (the current english RL halfback) who will fill DCE's shoes..
