Manly set to entice English second rower
The Manly Sea-Eagles are set to sign English representative second rower Liam Farrell for the remainder of the year on a contract rumoured to be worth $400k, with an option for 2016.
With the release of star second rowers Anthony Watmough and Glenn Stewart, the Sea-Eagles are looking to replace their losses with boom second rower Liam Farrell.
A source has confirmed that Sea-Eagles management has conceded it needs to look to the future and fill the gap presented by the loss of the two experienced back rowers. Their exit from the club has left a gap in the Manly pack that Geoff Toovey believes Farrell will help fill.

"We're missing their work ethic," confirmed the source, who wished to remain unnamed. "Their experience in the middle was a key to our success and Farrell is part of our solution to solve that."
The 24-year-old is viewed as one of the rising stars of the ESL, where he has already represented his country five times since 2013. A mobile running second rower in the mold of Steve Menzies, Farrell was thrust into ESL fame with his last minute try against St Helens on Good Friday in 2011, when he ran onto a Brett Finch pass to score and win the game for the Warriors.
Wigan are set to counter the offer, unwilling to let go of a cornerstone to their forward pack but are believed to be doubtful that he will stay.
