best player on the ground last night I thought
Was the only reason Penrith got back into the game, TBH.

and screw you god/allah/budda/the leader/vishnu/whoever is up there..
they're determined to take one of my clan this year.. On the back of my bro's brain tumor and my mum's stroke, my grandpa got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer today..
my hero is mortal after all..
I thought it was Semi tbh. Every time he touched the ball, something happened.
Havent been to a concert all year.
Would've liked to have seen Jamie T in Summer but missed out on a ticket because i was overseas, sold out by the time I got home. Mariachi El Bronx, The Beards and Band of Skulls all played within a couple of days of each other, but they were the day i got my wisdom teeth out and a couple after that so that was no good.
And now Jamie T is only supporting Blur.
But I am seeing Frenzal Rhomb next week. Got a ticket a while back when I looked at my run of uni work over this last two weeks (and a bit next week). Thought I would reward myself. Don't really need to see them again, it'd be double figures the amount of times I have seen them. But they're good, and fun, and playing at a good venue in Newtown
Semi played well. He was on the receiving end of a lot of things though. Cartwright seemed to be the only reason Penrith got back into the game.
One week back in Sydney and I already want to jump on the next plane out of here...
Well well well. Look what the cat dragged in. I thought you were dead.
I'll pay for your ticket to get you out of my fine city!!!One week back in Sydney and I already want to jump on the next plane out of here...

Unless you're coming to the game today, then kudos for realising that St George > 'Murica
Dream on we got some terrible calls like Wallace getting held down for an eternity after making a break yet no sin bin or even a penalty. The better team won yet Parra fans still bitch
St George > Family.I already have my return ticket. I love the city, it's the people in the city.
I won't make it to this home-game as I'm meeting with family, but am heading to one of the home games in a few weeks time.
Must be a cruisy comp in the ACT.Meanwhile, just knocked out a casual 51* off 25 balls chasing 100. Not a bad Sunday morning

With rare exceptions blaming of referees is just a good distraction from a teams problems. When a side is having a shit year it's a way for a coach to deflect some of the blame from himself/his team by saying the refs have it in for them. When a side is having a good year and drops a game they'll fall on it. Hell when a team is good opposition fans will blame refs for getting them over the line.
I reckon referee effect on the game is miniscule, bar the occasional howler. Better teams are generally quicker, get a better roll on and draw more penalties because they catch the opposition flat footed, not back in time, opposition tries to hold em down longer etc. Which sees shitter teams give away more penalties because they often can't match others on football alone so they resort to tactics that push the boundaries more out of neccesity (holding down, leaving a hand in the ruck in the hope of a dropped ball etc), and then give away more penalties.
But they are a great deflection from a teams flaws and coaches /players are happy to use that shield whenever possible.
I think it's kind of shit. For one, they get one look at general play and thats it, rather than the multiple slow motion looks that others get. Two, the lack of respect flows on the field too often (Graham and Klemmer for example, and others). This flow on though down to grassroots sport is really bad. When refs get abused in junior sport for example. Or in very low level amateur sport that I play in and some people just give these guys absolutely heaps. It's bullshit. Can't have a game without refs.
I'm not a great fan of all of Cameron Smiths on field play, wonderful player but there's some definite grubbiness in there, but he's an excellent captain because he just doesn't approach the refs in an agressive manner like so mnay others. He's very calm and level headed when he speaks to them and it's good for his side IMO.
