Mate, I turn 30 next month. That will also mark 10 years single. Pretty confident that's the lie of the land for the forseeable future. If it changes, cool, otherwise I am not going to be worked up about it.

Sometimes the bike is harder to find than it is to ride...

I haven't to be honest, mainly sales with some business development and marketing. Wouldn't know what to look for with demand planning.

Forecasting for sales based on runrates to communicate with the manufacturer what you require. Supply chain based, but becoming niche and highly paid. It leads into other roles within the business.

Your sales background would be beneficial; do you like Excel?

take the sales forecast. Minus 25%.

take the factory production schedule. Add 25%.

combine the two, minus inventory on hand...

and hey presto, you've just done drew's job..

Kinda like that.

Up until 4 weeks ago, that would have been the best option. Unfortunately, they just took out a mortgage as they needed to move and haven't been able to sell their old place. So they are now renting out the old place instead.

I still have 2 Grandparents who have a good amount of equity + zero debts, but not sure how much banks will back that in.

A couple of banks have an equity guarantee package. They lock up a portion of your grandparents equity equivalent to the part of the deposit you are missing. You pay it back just like the rest of the loan. You don't pay mortgage insurance and the only affect it has on your grandparents is that their deeds are held in trust.

Of course, once you hit 20% equity, you refinance and have them taken off the loan. In the current market, that should take about 2 years.

I really want to punch your positive attitude face right now...

I kinda know how to use Excel.

We went with mortgage choice to the CUA. Its been a great choice, and if you can be disciplined get something with an offset account. It reduces your interest while keeping money available if needed without redraw fees.

Any credit union. F the banks.

lol home ownership, i am so far off anything like that it's not funny.

Although I do think people are too happy to go in to massive amounts of debt. If you can afford it it's good but alot of people make dumb debt decisions IMO.

Had a Guinness and a beef and guinness stew from whitehouse at uni today, pretty decent for $12.

Im really f**ked this session. It's a pretty busy one with four subjects. Commuting to Sydney three days a week + working some nights really cuts into time available. Especially the working nights, it throws you off the next morning, by the time you're up and going time to get work done is reduced, because then you go back to work. Didnt matter so much in undergraduate, but with somewhere between 9-12 hours a week commuting tacked on to a reasonable amount on campus and a shedload to do off campus working a shitty casual job is starting to grind me a bit. I can't just not work, I will burn through money. I've cut back alot on expenses but there are still things to pay.

Frustrating.

All my mates lol.

First chance they get, buy a brand spanking new car. It looks good & all.... but now they are paying that off for years, when they could have a bought a shitbox for 20K less, & does the exact same thing.

Yeah a friend of mine got a 10K loan for a car, without a fulltime job and whilst also having rent to pay, assuming she'd get a job straight out of uni. lol.

Went to one of those employment service places today as part of my Centrelink application... holy shit they're bad. What a waste of time, I should have just asked the lady there if I could wash her car for $10 and it'd have been more productive

I've been to those a few times due to a number of companies I've worked for deciding that being in business isn't that great. For me they have been less than useful. The "employment classes" are shockingly bad.
