blu emountains I assume.

Cold as f**k in Sydney. Took over 45 minutes to get from Balmain to Kensington, left ten minutes earleir and got here 10 minutes later.

Enjoyable couple of days though, going climbing again tonight which should be good. Uni has been ok. Friends family has been very accomodating of me staying for two days.

I've got myself to a point where I'm on top of it enough to not really need day to day medication....just exercise, and keeping at cricket all year with the winter comp has helped. Plus uni, surprisingly. Gives me something to do and vents a lot of nervous energy.

Just the last few days it's gone "hey f**k you, I'm still here...."
I know the feeling. Over the past year I have been quite depressed. Resigned from my job after 17.5 years in December to take up a new career in the mines up North. Made new mates, started up an indoor cricket side which I'm captain of and domainted. A lot of stress, negative thoughts released and felt a lot better.

Leura, it's the suburb before Katoomba if you're heading to the mountains on the Princes Highway

Great Western Highway.

There is a fantastic cafe at Leura. The lillypad I think it s called. Its down a little pathway off the back of the shopping centre car park. Well worth a run while you are up there.

So I have had three mercury fillings in my teeth since I was nine-years-old, last year on of them chipped, because it was a back tooth and I was lazy didn't get checked out, about 8 months after it chipped I started getting horrible pain there so I went and saw the same dentist who put my fillings in, little did she know she did it though and after seeing my x-rays she made a comment on how my dentist should have checked in with me every few years and there was no way I should have been left with mercury fillings in my mouth fr over 15 years, she also told me I would require root canal therapy on all three teeth and I needed a wisdom tooth removed.

Anyway she didn't prescribe me anything for the pain or even give me something to bite onto at night so the pain would subside, so I didn't comeback. That was like three months ago, not the pain is so much worse and it's there more often. I don't want to get root canal therapy and I don't want the teeth removed, has anybody had luck with any alternative treatments to root canal therapy?

I also have to wait until October 29 before my health insurance covers procedures, but I might just fork out for this one and worry about the other two after October, the pain is the worst.

unfortunately you're kinda screwed there...

root canals are not as bad as people say, provided you have the appropriate level of painkillers afterwards.

like prescription only painkillers.

Go to your doctor and ask for anti biotics. Give it about 3 to 4 days and any root infections will be gone (and pain)

I was supposed to have a root canal done 13 years ago. Took antibiotics for a week, no drama since.
