Played indoor soccer grand final against a team last night who won all 23 games this season lol. We didn't have a sub though so we were doomed from the start. Same old story when we play them pretty much, half time down 1 - 0, we can match it with them when we're not f**ked, then in the 2nd half we are f**ked, ended up losing 5 - 0.

Well they did go through the season unbeaten drew. :)

Bloody hell the past couple of days i have been considering having another run with football next year. If i do i really gotta start training soon.

We did it at school in touch footy. Beat the unbeaten side in the grand final 6-5 or something. All teams are beatable and it sounded lile Apey's side were just missing troops rather than talent

The power goes out here a lot in Arusha. It's generally a daily thing and lasts anywhere between 4 and 24 hours.

We've got a generator, so it doesn't impact on work/video games.

It does, however, prevent me from taking a shower because there is not hot water when the generator is on.

I have the swampiest of crotches, folks.

Happened a lot in Tonga, except the power off meant the water would also stop pumping. During summer with 45 degree heat and 100% humidity, this was a problem

Would have thought your part of Africa would be hot + humid enough to warrant a cold shower?

Not during the winter  It's around 15-20 degrees most days, but with the cold breeze it's definitely not a good time to take a cold shower.

Pretty much. And deodorant!!

They finally installed a back up generator and are implementing wind power too so it can be mitigated. But they did that in the last two months we were there

If the smell here is anything to go by, the locals just choose not to shower at all. Place has a very distinct pong to it.
