That's what makes Singapore such an interesting place. You've got the Malay influence, the Chinese influence, the Middle Eastern, the Indian, and the western all mixed in. It's very groovy.

Wishing you luck from my coach, where I am in track pants, heating full blast, sipping small amounts of cognac and watching footy while being crippled by savage anxiety.

Food's great there.

Mind you, Hainan Chicken Rice is unbelievably uninspiring and I've nfi how it's so popular. I usually stick to the Indian/Malay food when I'm there though. That, and the place that sells Rendang meat pies on Haji Lane.

The local food in Hong Kong is exceptionally bland after living for so long in Indonesia and on the doorstep of Sichuan. Put some f**king Chilli in this god damn food!

I love chicken rice tbh. But if it's not good, it's bad...there's no middle ground really.

Jiangsu is notorious for its shitty food. The street food can be okay (had some decent wanton last night, and there's always good BBQ), but the majority of the food is just oily and weirdly sweet.

I loved the food in northern Sichuan - a fusion of spicy Sichuan and Tibetan cuisine.
