I'm loving the obvious fear from fans of other clubs coming out of the woodwork to insist that arguably the best five eighth in the world and one of the best centres in the game will still leave Parramatta bottom four....

Parra have the right idea. Your recruitment has been really good. The only gap has been forwards, but you might have youth that is coming up that has rendered recruitment in that area not required?

To me, Peats at hooker, Foran at half, Norman at five-eight, is a strong link to get Jennings in space, which is where you want him.

Our forwards are already fine, really. Lots of younger or less NRL experienced quality. Watmough and Beau Scott aren't the highest impact forwards but they give us defence, which has been our major issue ever since Anderson was unceremoniously stabbed in the back (and even then was on the decline). Manu Ma'u is a beast, Kenny Edwards was looking ready to break out before is ACL went, carved up the back of 2014, Junior Paulo is an animal and will hopefully be the main priority now in terms of hanging on to him, Mannah is the glue who always gives everything, and then Tepai Moeroa could be anything.

It'll be interesting to see how we go. This is the best off season signing I've ever seen as an Eels fan to compliment one of the better crops of young players we've had. Everything is looking well and truly up, at the very least.

What are the chooks paying to miss the 8? Lost their best three backs (3/4 anyway, pearce is a good club player), JWH is unlikely to be fully fit this year.

Still not sure Parra are top 8 good, but the top 8, especially 5-8, is a lottery of best luck with injury etc. Only a few of clubs (tits, tigers, knights) stand out as unlikely to make it, and even then a few tigers players kicking on or similar with newcastle and they could get there.
